Crematorium Operator Certification

Overview:


This is the only recognized course for the certification of crematorium operators in the province of Ontario. This program will ensure you have the necessary training required under the FBCSA. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of the cremation process, consumer protection for cremation clients, and best service practices and standards. This program is open to anyone involved with any aspect of the cremation process including counsellors, funeral directors, full and part-time operators, and owners. The first phase toward operator certification of certification is to attend our annual Cremation Symposium. Full certification will be granted upon successful completion of the self-administered exam AND verification that the participant has completed fifty (50) cremation cases (second phase), for which participants have one full year from the date of the program to complete. The OACFP recommends that anyone who has not attended a crematorium training program within the last five years should attend.

The BAO requires that the "Operator of equipment and all staff handling cremation must attend the Crematorium Operator's Certification Training offered by the OACFP". - Get your staff Certified today!
